Deadline extended for humanitarian project grants

The BMA has decided to extended the deadline for applications to the 2013 Humanitarian Fund to 5pm on April 5th 2013. This is the opportunity for any current NHS employee to apply for a grant of up to £3000 to run a humanitarian project in the developing world.

The grant is for projects running between May 2013 and May 2014 and covers costs such as travel and accommodation. The work must be sustainable and offer clear health benefits to the local population.
