RCN raises money for famine-stricken East Africa

RCN staff and members have raised nearly £1000 for the Disasters Emergency Committee's East Africa appeal.

Over 10 million people continue to be affected by severe drought and famine in Kenya, Ethiopia, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan, Djibouti, and parts of Uganda. Many have left their homes heading for refugee camps where they have a better chance of accessing food.

There is still time to donate either by text, web, or telephone. If you text 'RCN' to 7000, £5 will be deducted from your mobile phone bill and your number won't be held anywhere. If you use this webpage to donate online, your donation will count towards the RCN total donation figure.

The real figure raised by RCN staff and members is likely to be much higher, as many members and staff will have donated in a personal capacity using the normal channels.
