Webcast help

Media player

To be able to view the webcast you will need Windows Media Player 9/10 installed on your machine. The good news is that if you are using Windows 98/ME/2000/XP the Windows Media Player should already be installed! If Windows Media Player is not installed you can install it for free from the Microsoft website. Microsoft also have a useful help document for using Windows Media Player. Quick Tip: you can access volume and zoom controls using the right mouse button on the video!

Browser

Because the webcast is using Microsoft Media technologies we recommend that you use Microsoft Internet Explorer 5/6 - if you are using a Windows 2000/XP operating system this will already be installed. If not, it can be downloaded for free from Microsoft.

Internet

Internet speed is really important - the minimum needed to watch this webcast is 256K but we highly recommend 512K or more. You may have a firewall installed that prevents you from viewing the video. Contact your IT helpdesk (or system manual, if you operate the firewall yourself).
