The MSc programme is designed to provide health care professionals with the principles of travel medicine through the use of critical analysis and evidence- based medicine. It will combine educational methods that encourage self-directed learning, reflection on personal experience and critical thinking.

The aim of the programme is to complement the professional development programmes that are now an integral part of training in primary care and other disciplines. The programme will introduce students to the practice of travel medicine and provide them with practical, clinical and research skills in the discipline.

The course is delivered through a distance learning programme using web-based technology and includes progression each year from the level of certificate, diploma and finally to the award of a master’s degree. The MSc is part-time and may be completed over a minimum of three years and a maximum of five years.

Travel Health and Expedition Medicine Course
