Meet the team

The Royal College of Nursing has a dedicated national team for health care assistants (HCA) and assistant practitioners (AP), which is a part of the Nursing Department that also manages the RCN forums.

Dedicated to health care assistants and assistant practioners

HCAs and APs are an integral part of the nursing team and the RCN have a team dedicated to supporting and developing HCAs and APs.

This team, together with colleagues throughout the organisation, will be working to ensure that HCAs and APs have access to specific resources to meet their learning and development needs.

You will be able to keep up to date with all information on the development of the HCA and AP role and what the RCN offers HCAs and APs via the HCA pages on the RCN website.

The team will also facilitate the HCA/AP committee to address issues around recognising the support, interests and needs of HCAs and APs.

If you have any news or views you would like to pass onto the team, please contact them on the details below.
