Full results of the committee elections are available here. The new members will take up office on 1 January 2013 and will be joined by the new Council members for HCAs and APs, Brenda McIlmurray and David Cardwell.

There are still vacancies for regional and country seats representing London, Northern Ireland, South West, Northern, Wales, West Midlands and Yorkshire & The Humber. Nominations are now open, find out more at RCN elections 2013. Nominations must be received by 4.30pm on 8 February 2013.

The committee was established following last year’s historic vote where HCA and AP members were brought into full membership of the RCN for the first time and allocated two seats on RCN Council.

The committee’s role will include helping develop RCN policy, putting the College’s priorities into action and contributing the perspective of HCAs and APs into RCN strategy and planning.

The new HP Committee is taking over the role of the HCA and AP Committee, which was set up to raise the profile of HCAs and APs within the College and tackle the issues which affect them.
