This is Nursing – the leadership work stream

The RCN has identified key elements of nursing to focus into work streams which will provide specific resources to support nurses in our ever changing environments (previously associated with Future Nurse, Future Workforce). One of these elements is leadership.

This work stream covers the four countries of the UK and aims to provide tools for nurses to be excellent leaders, to draw together evidence around leadership in nursing, and explore leadership development possibilities for the future. Currently we have work ongoing - led by Dr Ann McMahon - focusing on innovation and specifically in equipping nurses with skills of economic evaluation.

We are in the process of developing our strategy for other elements to the work stream for 2013-15 with the aim of ensuring that what we offer is what nurses need and is regularly revised.
