Testimonials
The RCN has accredited more than 1,000 nurses in the insertion and removal of subdermal contraceptive implants (SDI) and/or intrauterine techniques (IUT), both forms of LARC. The accreditation process is robust and ensures both nurses and their employers that practitioners have been through a rigorous quality assurance process.
This is what some nurses have said about RCN LARC accreditation:
"The accreditation process is well constructed and the paperwork very detailed. It is such an honour to have gained this accreditation" Sharon Topham, Leeds
"Very comprehensive application procedure but I think very thorough and necessary" T. Ismaili, Essex
"It was all very good, I really enjoyed this training" Michelle Stanton, Kent
"Thank you for sending me the certificate. I must say that the staff at the Centre for Professional Accreditation were very helpful, patient and professional. Now most of my colleagues are going to start their course and apply for accreditation with the RCN. Thanks!" Roberto Campora, London
"I see the LARC accreditation as extremely important to ensure all trainers are up to date, currently in practice and keep a record of their performance." Suzanne Jones, Cheshire
"I found the whole procedure satisfactory – just follow the instructions and check that you submit all of the relevant documentation." Judith Leader, Buckinghamshire
"I really enjoyed doing the training and feel that it has improved my practice. I work in a clinic in an area of deprivation and it has enabled clients to be able to choose this method." Carol Smith, Cheshire
"The Royal College of Nursing has been really supportive during the whole accreditation process as it has not always been smooth. Grateful thanks for your always prompt support and help." Kathy Bainbridge, Cumbria
"What really helped was being able to speak to someone over the telephone who was able to answer my specific concerns. The Centre for Professional Accreditation was especially helpful and I was able to get through to them straight away when I needed advice and reassurance. In these days of internet and email I find the human contact as important. Receiving the certificate was exciting and a great morale booster." Elizabeth Upward, London
