Summary
A working party of stoma nurses from the Wessex Stoma Care Nurses Forum explored the management of stomal granulomas at the mucocutaneous junction and found that there were no clear guidelines and a diversity of management regimens. It was envisaged that this poster would standardise and facilitate best practice
Through gathering information and collating the evidence and rationale, the protocol was put together in the format of a step by step colour coded flowchart. The flowchart is the protocol and guidelines for treating granulomas.
The poster has been presented at national and international conferences and published in GastroIntestinal Nurse
