Summary
Water is a vital part of the body and plays many important functions. As well as participating in metabolic reactions and transporting nutrients to and carrying waste away from the body’s cells, it also plays a key role in thermoregulation helping to redistribute heat and cooling the body through perspiration. Except for fat cells it is a major part of most of the body’s cells and also cushions and lubricates the brain and the joints. Read the following article about the importance of hydration and the risks and benefits associated with types of drinks and answer the reflection questions for CPD PREP hours.
