What is virtual enquiry?

Virtual enquiry works like instant messaging using online chat and co-browsing to instantly connect you to an RCN Information professional to help you find answers to your questions.

We’re available to advise and guide you if you need help locating a book; searching for a journal article; evaluating information; using library services or accessing resources in the RCN e-library.

The RCN Virtual Enquiry Service is open from:

• 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday
• 10.00am to 4.00pm on Saturday (closed August).

Making a virtual enquiry

Please include your membership number and a valid email address in case we’re unable to help straight away and need to get back to you.

Out of hours service

An out of hours service, Chasing the Sun, operates from Midnight to 9.00am Sunday - Friday.

This service is a collaborative effort currently provided between information professionals in the United Kingdom and Australia and provides contact with an information professional when you need help in finding database information after hours.
