Professional development

If you are a member of the RCN you can benefit from a number of professional development opportunities.

Clinical leadership programme

The Clinical leadership programme is a 12 month licensed programme designed to enhance productivity, quality and safety. The programme includes 1-2-1 coaching, 360 degree feedback and applied learning in the workplace. The programme is lead by a local facilitator who is fully supported through the RCN facilitator development programme which is 15 months and runs parallel to the clinical leadership programme.

The programme is aimed at health and social care practitioners who lead and manage teams (AfC 6-8). It is delivered in-house by the local facilitator, enabling the learning to be contextualised to the needs of the organisation. The facilitator programme starts in Spetember 2011 with a briefing day in July.
