Diabetes - specific contexts and populations
The diabetes resource is aimed in particular at nursing staff who as part of their specific areas of practice will meet patients who also have diabetes. This section of the resource looks at diabetes care in a range of specific contexts and population groups, and in each case signposts relevant resources that support good practice. Many of the resources will also be useful to people with diabetes, their families and carers.
These resources were last accessed on 31 October 2012. Some of them are in PDF format – see how to access PDF files.
The specific contexts and population groups are:
- Black and minority ethnic (BME) groups
- Children and young people
- Learning disabilities
- Older people
- Palliative and end of life care
- Pregnancy
- Prisons
- Residential care.
