Postgraduate Training
Doctorate in Professional Practice
Six years (part-time), this will be of interest to professionals working in the health and social care profession. The programme focusses on research conducted by practitioners in their own workplace. Although similar to a traditional PhD, it utilises a 'three way model', interconnecting the university, the candidate's profession and their workplace to explore the themes: planning research for practice; initiating and managing change, and evaluation and synthesis of theory and practice.
