Fellowships/studentships

Fellowships/studentships which are targeted predominantly at the nursing, midwifery and health visiting profession, and which have in-built funding attached to them, will now be listed in our career opportunities section. This includes information about the new Clinical Academic Training Pathway for Nurses, Midwives and Allied Health Professionals, being implemented under the auspices of the NIHR Research Capacity Development Programme.

  1. RDDirect - a telephone help-line for researchers at all levels. The team will find you the best possible source of advice, whether it is via the many useful links or by referral to one of the academic advisors with whom you can discuss your enquiry.

  2. A Research Process Flowchart - maps the different stages of research in to 10 steps, providing hints, tips, checklists and links for researchers at all levels.

  3. RDLearning – provides details of research related events available to health and social care processionals including research training courses and conferences. If you are running events you can submit the details and advertise them free of charge.

NIHR Research Design Service (RDS)

Over the coming months the current Research and Development Support Units are being replaced by a Research Design Service to help researchers develop and design high quality research proposals for submission to national, peer-reviewed funding competitions for applied health or social care research.  You can find out more about the NIHR RDS from the NIHR website.
