Funding opportunities

Nurses have an important role in research.  Improving patient care is at the forefront of research and working on the front-line puts nurses in the ideal position to contribute to the research process and indeed lead research projects.

As finding research funding is such a significant part of the research process, and identifying potential funding sources can take a considerable amount of time the RCN is working in partnership with RDFunding to help you.  Of course, applying for grants and obtaining the money is much harder, as anecdotal evidence suggests that only 1 in 7 bids for funding is successful.  As competition for research money is fierce, having up-to-date details on funding opportunities is a great help.
