Journal of Child Health Care

Focus of journal /types of article wanted: The aim of the journal is to publish original research or original contributions to the existing literature on child health care. The journal publishes articles covering a very wide range of issues affecting children's (and their families') health and covers acute, tertiary and community health care settings. We particularly welcome articles with a strong clinical content as well as those which demonstrate that health and social care are closely interlinked and reflect the way that child health is affected by many factors. Articles fall into two main areas; original research and reviews. Article word length is usually 3000-3500 words.
Target audience: Our target audience is international and working within a variety of acute, tertiary and community practice settings as well as within research and education. Specifically children's nurses and health practitioners working with children and young people as well as other professionals such as social workers, dieticians, youth and community workers, teachers and voluntary workers.
Frequency: The Journal is published quarterly - March, June, September, and December. It is available in print or on-line. Articles are published Online First (i.e., forthcoming articles are published online before they are scheduled to appear in print).
