"Standing on the shoulders of giants" is a phrase well known to researchers, and anyone embarking on a piece of research will want to know what has already been done. The most obvious starting point is to conduct a literature search, and full RCN members can get help with this. This section of the website provides a signposting service to various databases of completed research, including the NHS Evidence portal.
