Action research course in health science
18 to 20 June 2013, the Institute of Nursing and Health Research, University of Ulster
You will learn the prerequisites for undertaking action research within the range of methodological approaches used in health science fields. This free of charge course is set at postgraduate level and will explore differing epistemological and ontological perspectives and the implications of these in the conduct of action research. It focuses on action research design and the range of qualitative and quantitative data collection methods that can be used within the cyclical and reflexive principles of action research. Particular attention is given to the utilisation of the methods in relation to clinical problems in health services and on the integration of critically creative approaches to addressing these problems.
The course contains both theoretical and practical elements in a combination of lectures, facilitated discussion and workshops. For more information and/or an application form, please visit the University of Ulster's website.
