Sisters: Memories from the Courageous Nurses of World War Two
Researched and written by RCN member, Barbara Mortimer, this book drew on the RCN's archive of oral history interview collection. Using 150 unpublished extraordinary real-life stories, these courageous individuals relate with candour, wit and compassion their memories of the war and, in telling their vivid, poignant and riveting stories, "Sisters" captures their pride, grief and joy. It is a fitting tribute to their spirit and bravery.
