National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) - latest published guidance
NICE is an independent organisation responsible for providing national guidance on promoting good health and preventing and treating ill health. The guidance is developed using the expertise of the NHS and the wider healthcare community including NHS staff, healthcare professionals, patients and carers, industry and the academic world. NICE has issued the following guidance to the NHS in England and Wales (January 2013):

- Hyperplasia (benign prostatic) - tadalafil (terminated appraisal)
- Percutaneous pulmonary valve implantation for right ventricular outflow tract dysfunction
- Psychosis and schizophrenia in children and young people
- Urothelial tract carcinoma (transitional cell, advanced, metastatic) - vinflunine
- WatchBP Home A for opportunistically detecting atrial fibrillation during diagnosis and monitoring of hypertension
