NHS website launches August 2012 helping spread the High Impact Innovations
Use a wide range of materials to help you spread and adopt the six High Impact Innovations identified in the Innovation Health and Wealth, Accelerating Adoption and Diffusion in the NHS report issued in December 2011.
The first six innovations as having the potential to transform both quality and value in the NHS are:
- Increased support for carers of people with dementia
- Increased use of technology to allow patients and the public to access healthcare services remotely should they choose to do so
- The national roll-out of assistive technologies (telehealth and telecare) to 3 million people by April 2017
- Reducing the time it takes from assessment to delivery of wheelchairs for children
- Increased use of intra-operative fluid management
- Increasing opportunities for the NHS to promote the commercial value of its IP and knowledge internationally
