The Health Services and Delivery Research programme funds research to improve the quality, effectiveness and accessibility of the NHS, including evaluations of how the NHS might improve delivery of services. The latest call is to address knowledge gaps relating to initiatives that improve environmental sustainability in the NHS, and how these affect the cost, quality, accessibility and organisation of services. Closing date to apply is 3 October 2013.
HTA Programme commissioned call for primary research proposals May 2013

The Health Technology Assessment Programme supports research that is immediately useful to clinical practice and policy/decision makers. The two-stage outline to full proposal call includes immunisation; blood borne virus infection; breastfeeding; acute ankle sprain; advanced cancer; acute pulmonary embolism in pregnancy; neuromuscular disease; COPD.
