A classic example of an entry in this section would be the research team that is looking for evidence, and wants to search the so-called "grey literature"; research that is being conducted, and hasn't been reported in any of the usual dissemination channels. In March 2012, we wrote to every UK Higher Education Institution which offers a healthcare related course, asking them for details of their areas of research interest. The list below provides details of those who responded from Northern Ireland.
REF research policy final criteria issued January 2012

The Higher Education Funding Council for England has published the final criteria and working methods for the Research Excellence Framework, allowing universities to start preparing for submissions by 29 November 2013.
