Poster award

Poster awards 2008

Three poster awards were sponsored by Elsevier Publishing this year. The judging panel was chaired by Research Society Vice Chair Dr Leslie Gelling and included international conference scientific committee member Professor Christa Lohrmann (Department of Nursing Science, Medical University of Graz) and Janet Davies (Executive Director for Service Delivery, Royal College of Nursing). The judged the posters according to their assessments of:

  • the quality of the science
  • the originality of the research
  • the effectiveness of the use of a poster as the means of presentation

They identified three of the best posters and selected an overall winner. The winner received a cash prize of £200 and the runners up each received £150.
