Criteria for membership of Scientific Committee
- The criteria for Chair of the Committee is available
- The nominated Chair is responsible for convening the Scientific Committee through drawing on the expertise of the membership at large whilst being cognisant of the cost implications. Members of the scientific committee are offered a free place at the conference and their expenses to attend meetings are covered. In addition to attending the scientific meeting, each member is sent a batch of abstracts to review and return in advance of the meeting. Before the conference programme is printed, members of the scientific committee are asked to proof read a section
- The "skill mix" of the Committee should incorporate the appropriate knowledge and expertise to cover the range of methodologies used in nursing research. Succession planning should be an important consideration. Every effort should be taken to ensure four-country representation
- The maximum term of office would be three years in ten
- To ensure continuity, at least one member of the RCN Research Society Steering Committee must sit on both the Organising Committee and the Scientific Committee of the RCN annual international nursing research conference
- If you would like to be considered for the Scientific Committee, please contact the Chair
