Aims and Terms of Reference
- LoRRS works under the umbrella strategic direction of the RCN’s Research Society and is accountable to the RCN Research Society
- LoRRS aims to promote, support, and disseminate nursing and health care related research
- LoRRS membership comprises those who have current RCN membership. Members can discuss RCN business and decide LoRRS activities
- Non-RCN members who are interested in research may attend the research presentation part of each LoRRS meeting
- The LoRRS chair, who holds this office by the majority consent of the LoRRS membership, is responsible for:
(i) feeding back to the membership key information from the RCN Research Society
(ii) ensuring members are consulted on, & their views reflected back to the RCN Research Society, on research-related consultation documents and on any other key RCN consultation documents circulated via the RCN Research Society
(iii) providing an annual report, or any other report(s), as requested by the RCN Research Society, on research meetings held & research related activities held by LoRRS.
