Meet the RCN Student Team
The Royal College of Nursing has a dedicated national team for students which is a part of the Nursing Department that also manages the RCN Forums.
Student advisers
Your student advisers cover the four UK countries and are responsible for all national student issues such as bursaries, childcare, travel allowances, placement issues, accommodation and anything else that pops up.
They will lobby governments on your behalf and be involved in working with colleagues in each of the RCN regions and boards on all of these issues.
They will also facilitate the Association of Nursing Students (ANS) Executive Committee and help them produce and work on their annual strategy.
They're responsible for communicating with the students and are directly involved in the production of the answer, the student magazine, and the website.

Student Co-ordinator
Your student co-ordinator Laura is responsible for organising and managing nationwide RCN student events (including the annual Students' Day at Congress and the RCN Student Bus project), administering the ANS Executive Committee and is the first point of contact for students accessing the student team.
Laura also co-ordinates copy for the answer magazine, keeps parts of the student area of the RCN website up to date and is currently working on raising the visibility of RCN students on social networking sites.
She is responsible for managing the student budget which funds all the major activities mentioned above and ensures that your representatives on the ANS Executive Committee are supported so that they can support you.

Health Care Assistant Co-ordinator
Alongside Lisa's work with the RCN's health care assistant members, Lisa is responsible for administering all the student
information officers by registering them and then sending out the monthly updates. She is also providing a huge amount of support to the rest of the team during the RCN Student Bus project.
