New RCN award for student activists
Published: 28 May 2009
Dame Betty Kershaw has announced that she will fund an award specifically for students who have been active within the RCN from next year.
It is open to ANS activists within three years of registration who can apply for funding to support any continnual professsional developemtn activity other than that which should be funded by the commissioners (e.g. a mentorship module) or the employer (e.g. mandatory updating). Someone will need to verify your activist role and your RCN membership must not have lapsed.
It is not a competition, merely a form to complete. Write a few words on why you want the money and a commitment to write a short report on how you have used the funding to improve patient care.
Final details of the award and how it will be managed are being agreed and information will be available on both the RCN awards site and the student area of the RCN website shortly.
The RCN student team would like to thank Dame Betty Kershaw for making this very generous award available for RCN student members.
