Simulation in nursing education conference

The University of Huddersfield is hosting the 4th Annual UK Simulation in Nursing Education Conference. The event is sponsored by Meti (Medical Education Technologies Inc.), an American company which specialises in high fidelity patient simulation manikins; which supports the curriculum across the pre and post registration medical, nursing and allied health professions.

It is expected that up to 250 delegates will attend the conference which is anticipated to have a large international audience of leading experts in the field of simulation. The title of this year’s conference is Simulation: Re-creating reality - the learner’s stories, focusing on the learner’s experience of knowledge and skills acquisition through simulated practice.

The conference is free and runs over two dates - 9 and 10 June, with an evening reception on Wednesday 9 June. The keynote speaker is Maggi Savin- Baden, and the keynote closing session consists of a not to be missed, innovative demonstration of simulation in action. The RCN Student Bus will also be present.
