Full health care support worker 

Eligibility criteria

A Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) must either have:

  1. a qualification in health and care at level one of the National Qualifications Framework in England, Wales or Northern Ireland or level three of the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework in Scotland OR
  2. provide health and social care and have their routine work delegated to them by a registered nurse or midwife.

Exclusions

Anyone without a qualification in health and care at level one of the National Qualifications Framework in England, Wales or Northern Ireland or level three of the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework in Scotland OR someone providing health and social care where their routine work is not delegated to them by a registered nurse or midwife.

Anyone with a resgistered nursing or midwifery qualifcation who will have to take out Full membership

Current subscription rate

The Full HCA rate is set at two thirds of the Full member rate.
