How many forums can I join as part of my RCN membership and how do I join them?

You can join three forums as part of your RCN membership free of charge.

RCN forums are groups of RCN members working in a similar nursing speciality or with common interests. There are 35 forums working to shape and influence health policy across the UK. For more information please visit RCN forums.

You may view a list of RCN forums and join new and maintain existing ones through the MyRCN area of the website. A full list is also available in your Members' Handbook.

You will automatically remain a member of your chosen forums unless you inform us you wish to leave or change to another, and your first choice will count towards vote numbers.

Forums are available electronically so make sure you give us an up-to-date email address so we can send you your e-newsletter. You can use MyRCN to update your email address with us. As a forum member you can view past information and back issues of newsletters online.

Pre-registration students automatically become members of the RCN Association of Nursing Students (RCN ANS) and may join three more forums as part of their membership.

In addition to forums the RCN has the following groups that you can join.

How do I cancel a forum subscription?

Should you wish to cancel your forum membership or change forums, contact the  RCN membership team who will administer the change.
