The date I am due to finish my student training has changed.

What is my training completion date, is it important?

Your training completion date is the date that you give to the RCN detailing when your are due to finish your nurse training.

As a student member of the RCN it is important that you provide us with your correct training completion date to ensure that you are automatically transferred to nurse membership (first year discount) at the correct time. This also ensures that you are fully covered to work as a registered nurse. Go to categories of membership for more information.

What if my training completion date changes?

If at any point you realise the date when you are due to qualify has changed then please let us know as soon as possible so that we can update your record. If we are not informed your record will automatically be updated, based on the date we have been given, and the appropriate payment taken. We do not want to take an overpayment for your membership if you have not yet qualified.

How can I update my training completion date?

Please contact the RCN membership team to let them know the date you finish your nurse training. They will then ensure you are in the right category for working as a registered nurse.
