On being awarded a £1000 RCN Trevor Clay Scholarship, Collette Rose, osteoporosis research nurse at University of Cambridge School of Clinical Medicine said “This scholarship will allow me to access the first stage of my MSc course in 2008 as I have not obtained any funding from elsewhere. Joanne Bird from the Cancer Research Centre at the University of Sheffield reported back on her MMedSci in Advancing Practice for which she received funding from both the RCN and Ethicon, "On completion of the course, I was promoted to the post of Senior Research Sister within the department.
