AGM 2012
Important changes to voting
At the AGM, you will be asked to vote on several important resolutions – more information on these will be available on this website shortly.
However this year, the way we are asking members to vote is changing.
Voting electronically
If we have a valid email address for you on the RCN membership database, you will be invited to vote electronically rather than return a postal vote. You will receive an email from Electoral Reform Services explaining how to do this – it is very simple and will only take a few minutes. Voting electronically saves money (which helps us to keep your subscriptions down) and is more environmentally friendly.
If the RCN does not have your email address, but you would like to vote by email in future, please add your email address to your membership record by visiting www.rcn.org.uk/myrcn before 16 August or calling RCN Direct on 0345 772 6100. Contact details updated after this date will not be included in the electronic voting system for this AGM, but will be included for future votes.
Voting by post
If we don’t have a valid email address for you, your voting paper and a reply paid envelope will be posted to you with the September issue of RCN Bulletin. Please keep an eye on your letter box for this, and return your voting papers to ensure you make the closing date of Monday 15 October 2012. Your voting paper will include a security code and web address if you wish to vote online.
Remember - to opt into receiving AGM votes electronically in future please give us your email address by going to www.rcn.org.uk/myrcn
