Applications open for RCN bursaries

A number of RCN Foundation bursaries are open for applications from RCN members and other health practitioners.

The awards include the RCN Foundation Professional Bursary of up to £5,000 for work that enhances primary care nurse development, the care of older people, dementia care or the care of people with long-term conditions.

The Kershaw Family Bursary is aimed specifically at health care assistants and assistant practitioners. The bursary offers awards of up to £500 towards the development of projects that will have a direct impact on patient care. Applicants must have been RCN members for at least six months prior to the closing date.

Other bursaries are available for recently qualified nurses and graduates in non-nursing subjects who are starting pre-registration nursing courses in 2012.
