Many men are still highly reluctant to engage with health services, costing a number of lives every year. Thousands of partners, husbands, fathers, grandfathers, brothers and uncles die prematurely, either because they fail to act on the warning signs of ill health – whether that is of a physical or mental nature – or because service providers are failing to identify those at risk.
