Increased centralisation of specialist facilities has led to increased intra-UK transfers, while global travel leads to ever larger numbers of international repatriations.
The session will cover role descriptors along with the specific training and development requirements for the different nursing specialties – critical care, air ambulance, commercial flight nursing or the military, or within neonatology, paediatrics or adults. Delegates will also have a chance to discuss the work streams, challenges, career pathway and the training requirements needed to develop from transport specialist, to clinical nurse specialist and then on to nurse consultant level.
