This presentation will examine how tackling the growing global public health obesity epidemic needs to begin in childhood.
Using data from focus groups with children we look at the social, economic and psychological barriers children face when trying to have a healthy lifestyle during childhood. The presentation will also discuss how postgraduate public health training can ensure that public health practitioners have the necessary multifaceted skills and knowledge required to deal effectively with global public health issues.
