The NHS was originally designed to look after people during acute episodes of illness. Over time though, we’ve had to treat more people, with increasingly complex long-term conditions. So we now have a dilemma...do we continue to use the NHS in the same way, building more hospitals in which to treat a growing number of sicker people, or do we take a new look at the way it works? Teaching patients to manage a long term condition can be challenging, but our model of coaching and support in a homely environment has outstanding results.
This session will give you the opportunity to meet and talk to people who’ve used and work at our purpose built education centre.
