This seminar led by the RCN Research Society showcases important research findings that have the potential to improve care delivery. The public image of nursing has recently been tarnished by a number of high profile cases yet, at the core of nursing remains compassionate caring. This seminar based on pioneering research undertaken by Belinda Dewar, Professor of Practice Improvement at the University of West of Scotland will explore the seven 'C's of appreciative caring conversations. Belinda will illuminate how these are core to compassionate nursing and facilitate the delivery of compassionate relationship-centred care.
The event will provide opportunity for audience participation and will be chaired by Annie Topping, Professor of Nursing at the University of Huddersfield.
