HCAs' Day

HCAs’ Day is for Health Care Assistants (HCAs) and Assistant Practitioners (APs). It’s free to attend and you don’t have to be an RCN member to benefit.

Attendance at HCAs’ Day will allow you to:
- Understand the background and ethos of RCN Congress and how members get involved
- Explore the importance of the HCA and AP roles within the team and in relation to the High Impact Action agenda
- Listen to inspirational speakers including Dr Peter Carter, the RCN’s Chief Executive and General Secretary
- Increase understanding of how to become an AP and what the role involves
- Learn about the national picture for HCA and AP regulation
- Participate in a range of debates relevant to your field of work
- Visit the Congress exhibition where you will be able to find out about new products and services
