2012 review: who have we been working with?
The pie chart below reveals the range of organisation types we have worked with during the past twelve months.
As you can see, our engagement is widespread, reflecting the various sectors which have an invested interest in nursing education.
Maintaining our transparency is crucial.
Building mutually beneficial working relationships with a range of organisations helps to strengthen the expertise and authority of the RCN within the field of nursing.

In the past 12 months, some headline collaborations have been with:
- AstraZeneca and BMS Diabetes Alliance. Kindly supported two pilot motivational interviewing workshops for obesity.
- Department of Health. Kindly supported a far reaching project on dementia and a series of health visitor workshops.
- Cook Medical. Kindly supported a series of imaging roadshow events delivered across the UK and the launch of a competency publication for imaging specialist nurses.
We have also launched projects and run exhibition opportunities which have supported the following fields of nursing:
- continence and bowel care
- education
- end of life care
- midwifery and fertility
- ophthalmic
- rheumatology.
