RCN Congress, 22 – 25 April 2013, in Liverpool, will be unique event for everyone in the nursing community. Delegates will engage in key debates around nursing practice, public health, employment issues, and health reforms which will help shape the RCN agenda going forward. RCN Congress offers a fantastic opportunity for the entire nursing family to network and share best practice and for individuals to find ways of further developing their careers.

The RCN Congress exhibition will run for three days between the 22 and 24 April 2013.

The 2012 exit survey highlighted the influence of nurses on product and service purchasing will only be enhanced with the NHS reforms. The survey indicated that:

over 50 per cent of delegates influence ordering (and re-ordering) of new medical products and equipment
around 60 per cent of delegates influence new services for patients
in a reflection of seniority, over 80 per cent of attendees influence training and development decisions
the current level of purchasing influence is likely to increase, given 30 per cent of RCN Congress delegates have suggested changes in health care commissioning will mean they have more influence on purchasing in the next 12-24 months.
