The course can be tailored to focus on particular aspects of diabetes, for example medication and treatment for care home staff, or the impact of diabetes for occupational health nurses.

Who is the training for?

Why is this important?

As diabetes is on the increase, even more of us are coming into contact with people who have the condition. It is important to understand the complexities relating to lifestyle that a person with diabetes faces each day. This course will give attendees knowledge and confidence when working with people with diabetes. Diabetes UK’s experience and expertise ensure that those attending the course receive the most up-to-date and comprehensive information available.

Where does the training take place?

We want to be as flexible as possible to suit your needs. Sometimes it isn’t practical to take employees out of the workplace for a day, so we can bring the training to you. All you need is a suitable room to hold the training in. There are also off-site open sessions available to all.
