Postgraduate Certificate / Diploma in Diabetes (validated by the University of Leicester)
Date: 01 April 2013 to 01 April 2014
Location: Online learning
The diabetes qualifications and courses have been designed to address the learning needs of doctors and health care professionals from around the world.
The courses are designed to build on your personal experience giving you the skills to evaluate your own practice in the global context of scientific evidence, research and experience in diabetes care.
Our courses provide a range of learning opportunities which will challenge you to evaluate this evidence and apply it in practice to improve patient outcomes. You will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to tackle the challenges of the prevention and management of diabetes that many health care systems currently face.
All the diabetes qualifications and courses are delivered online, giving learners the flexibility to study around their busy schedules.
Two days of introductory lectures are offered to get you started, giving you an opportunity to be introduced to the online learning platform and to meet the faculty and your classmates.
At the lectures, learners discuss the key themes of the courses and participate in small group activities. Learners also receive a demonstration of the online learning platform, and an opportunity to practise the academic skills necessary for contributing to an online course.
For more information please view the programme and the booking form on the BMJ website.
Study hours: each module has been awarded 150 study hours.
