Respiratory Humidification - Adult Critical Care London

Date: 17 September 2013 to 17 September 2013

Location: Holiday Inn, Kensington Forum, 97 Cromwell Street, London SW7 4DN

This seminar begins by outlining the definition of humidity and reviewing the anatomy and physiology of the normal airway. We then move onto the role humidification plays in maintaining normal respiratory function and the effects of disease and clinical interventions on the mucociliary transport system. The benefits of the delivery of optimal humidity across the therapy range in the critical care setting are underpinned by research to maximise patient outcomes. This seminar is an interactive day delivering both presentations and workshops to support the theory presented with the practical applications seen in clinical practice, to allow delegates to gain as much insight as possible to improve patient care and contribute to a commitment to life-long learning.
