Respiratory Humidification - Adult Non-invasive and Ward Therapies Seminar Edinburgh

Date: 05 December 2013 to 05 December 2013

Location: Dakota Forth Bridge, Ferrymuir Retail Park, Edinburgh EH30 9QZ

This seminar begins by outlining the definition of humidity and reviewing the anatomy and physiology of the normal airway. We then move onto the role humidification plays in maintaining normal respiratory function and the effects of disease and clinical interventions on the mucociliary transport system. The benefits of the delivery of optimal humidity for non-invasive ventilation and oxygen therapy, including nasal high flow therapy, are underpinned by research to maximise patient outcomes. This seminar is an interactive day delivering both presentations and workshops to support the theory presented with the practical applications seen in clinical practice, to allow delegates to gain as much insight as possible to improve patient care and contribute to a commitment to life-long learning.
