The unsung heroes: valuing health care support workers
Following on from the highly successful 1st National Health Care Support Workers conference organised by the Royal College of Nursing, the RCN is delighted to announce a series of further events across the UK. These roadshows will inform you of latest hot topics and about some of the initiatives in your local area.
The role of HCSWs has grown apace in the last few years, and in many health care arenas is getting the education and recognition that is deserved. These roadshows will offer you a great opportunity to network and share experiences and ideas with colleagues.
The roadshow aims to:
- Facilitate HCSWs, health care assistants (HCAs) and assistant practitioners (APs) to network with others from around their area.
- Consider the legal and professional issues affecting you in your work, specifically how accountability impacts on your work and an update on regulation.
- Provide information about resources the RCN is developing for HCAs and APs to support personal and professional development.

- Cardiff – 10 July 2008
