Improving nutritional care: evidence for practice
The high prevalence of malnutrition in hospital and the community affects more than three million patients and costs 7.3 billion annually.
This conference will focus on how nurses working in partnership with other members of the multidisciplinary team have led successful changes that have enhanced patient/client experience of food and nutrition.
There will be practical examples from mental health, primary care, acute trust and the
independent sector which will focus on food service, patient safety issues, nutritional
screening and changing behaviours and attitudes of nursing staff.
